How to create, change and delete POS button layouts

Display your menu items in layouts that you create and customize. You can create multiple layouts and each layout can include up to 30 menu items. Every layout you create becomes a tab and as you add more, you can easily tab between them. Typical examples of layouts are breakfast, lunch, beverages. With a virtually unlimited number of layouts, you can organize your food items in the way that best fits your needs.

Create a layout

Layouts are accessed under Settings. Settings is a button on the first screen when you log in to the POS program. Settings is also found under the main menu in the top right corner. In these steps, we’ll access settings from the main menu.

  1. Click MENU, and then click Settings.

  2. On the POS Wizard – General Settings page, click FORWARD.

  3. On the POS Wizard – Layouts page, click the green plus button .

  4. Enter a name for the layout tab and click OK.

  5. In the Select Layout list at the top right, click the number of items you want available on your layout.

  6. If finished, click OK. Or, you can start adding menu items to your layout. 

Add menu items to a layout 

  1. Access your layout.
    Click MENU, and then click Settings.
    On the POS Wizard – General Settings page, click FORWARD.
    Click the applicable layout tab.

  2. Click a box within your layout.

    TIP: If you select a box that isn’t empty, the program replaces what is currently in the box.

  3. On the Find Item page, click the Category/Code list, and then select the applicable category.

  4. In the table that displays, select the item you want to display in the box, and then click OK.

  5. Continue these steps until you have all the food items you want on your layout.

  6. When finished, click OK.

Rename a layout

  1. Click MENU, and then click Settings.

  2. On the POS Wizard – General Settings page, click FORWARD.

  3. On the POS Wizard – Layouts page, click the layout tab you want to change, and then click the pencil edit button.

  4. Enter the new name for the layout and click OK.

  5. When finished, click OK.

Delete a layout

  1. Click MENU, and then click Settings.

  2. On the POS Wizard – General Settings page, click FORWARD.

  3. On the POS Wizard – Layouts page, click the layout tab you want to change, and then click the delete button.

  4. Confirm your decision by clicking OK.

  5. When finished, click OK.
